Die britschen T3 Gadget Awards für technische Spielereien (Gadgets) und innovative Produkte wurden kürzlich vergeben. In der Kategorie der Flachbildfernseher konnte Samsung mit den LED-TV der Serie B7000 den “Gadget Award” einfahren. Die Auszeichnung für Energiesparer mit dem “Green Award” konnte Sony mit den neuen BRAVIA LCD-TV verzeichnen. Bei den HDTV-Festplattenreceivern wurde der Humax Foxsat-HDR mit HDTV-Twin-Tuner und freesat-Empfang durch einen Award ausgezeichnet. Unter den weiteren Siegern befinden sich das Apple iPhone 3GS, Apple MacBook Pro, HTC Hero, Canon EOS 50D, Lenovo Ideapad S10E und Sony X-Series Walkman. BBC iPlayer HD, Google Android, Spotify, Jon Rubinstein (Palm Pre), Online-Händler Amazon und auch Suchmaschinen-Spezialist Google befinden sich in den jeweiligen Kategorien unter den glücklichen Gewinnern. Computerspiel des Jahres wurde “Call of Duty: World at War” mit der 5. Ausgabe der CoD-Version.

Samsung B7000 in der Beurteilung:

SONY BRAVIA LCD-TV in der Beurteilung:

Sony’s leading the way with its highly desirable yet green range of HD TVs. Most 2009 Bravias carry the EU’s Flower label, having complied with its strict ecological and performance criteria. The new Bravias use 20 to 30 percent less power than last year’s range.

Humax Foxsat-HDR in der Beurteilung:

“The Foxsat is a AAA-grade combo of excellent image quality, basic DVR functionality – record a channel whilst watching another, or record two at once – with access to Freesat, Freeview’s super-powered mutant sibling.”
