Auf der CES 2010 in Las Vegas zeigte der koreanische Elektronikhersteller LG Electronics wieder innovative Flachbildfernseher und neue Blu-ray-Player. Das neue Full HD Topmodell Infinia LE-9500 mit Wireless HD, LED Local Dimming, THX Display Zertifizierung, 400 Hz, LAN / WLAN und DLNA, weist eine Gehäusetiefe von nur 8,5 mm auf. Plasma-Fernseher mit den PK550 und PK950 stellte LG Electronics auch wieder vor. Diese werden ebenfalls im neuen Infinia-Design gefertigt, wie die neuen LCD-TV von LGE.

Insgesamt 15 Design- und Technologie-Auszeichnungen erhielten die Koreaner von LG Electronics auf der CES 2010.

3D-Fernseher zeigten alle großen Hersteller wie LG Electronics, Toshiba, Sony, Panasonic und Samsung. Ab dem Frühjahr 2010 werden die ersten 3D-Flachbildfernseher in den Verkaufsregalen stehen. Die Fußballweltmeisterschaft in Südafrika steht als großer Motor der 3D-Technikan, denn die FIFA wird die Fußball-WM 2010 in 3D aufzeichnen. In den USA wird ein eigener 3D-TV-Sender gestartet und in England plant Sky UK einen ersten 3D-Kanal via Satellit auszustrahlen.
